What Our Customers Say

Woman applying jk7 skincare cream to her face

Why Eyes and Lips Need Their Own Formula

Skin around the eyes is about a third as thick as the rest of the face, and lips have no oil glands at all. Neither can hold water on its own, and both move thousands of times a day. That combination is why fine lines, puffiness and dryness appear here first, and why a general face cream rarely does enough.

Chamomile as calming ingredients in skincare

Inside the JK7® Eye Cream, Eye Gel and Lip Balm

JK7® builds each formula around what the area is missing. The Eye Gel is water-based with Arnica, so it absorbs fast and settles swelling. The Eye Cream is richer, with German Chamomile and Rose Oil to nourish and firm. The Lip Balm rebuilds a barrier that does not exist, using Shea Butter, Beeswax and plant-derived Vitamin E, with no menthol or camphor.

Which One to Use, and When

Use the Eye Gel in the morning when puffiness is worst, and the Eye Cream at night when skin repairs itself. Both together, gel first, is the Eye Hydration Infusion Duo. Apply the Lip Balm whenever lips feel tight, and more heavily before bed. A grain of rice per eye is enough.

FAQ

Dark circles have more than one cause. If they come from congestion and fluid, the JK7® Eye Gel with Arnica is the better starting point. If they come from thinning skin that lets the vessels below show through, the JK7® Eye Cream is the one to use, since it supports firmness over time. The Eye Hydration Infusion Duo covers both.

Yes, when applied correctly. Use a small amount along the orbital bone, the ridge you can feel under the eye, and let it migrate upward on its own. Applying too close to the lash line is what causes most stinging and morning puffiness, not the formula itself. JK7® eye products contain no synthetic fragrance, parabens or silicones.

If your face cream is light and non-irritating, it can cover the eye area adequately. A dedicated eye product becomes worth it when you have a specific concern: puffiness, dark circles, or fine lines that a general moisturizer is not addressing. Eye formulas are also tested for use near the eye, which most face creams are not.

Lightest to richest. Cleanse and tone, apply the Eye Gel and let it absorb for a minute, then the Eye Cream, then your face cream over the rest of the face. Applying face cream first pushes a heavier texture into the eye area, which is a common cause of milia and morning puffiness.

Many balms rely on menthol, camphor or salicylic acid, which create a cooling sensation and a cycle of reapplication without repairing the barrier. The JK7® Lip Balm uses none of them. Shea Butter, Beeswax and plant-derived Vitamin E hold water in place so lips need it less often, not more.

Yes. The eye area is usually where loss of firmness shows first, because the skin there is thinnest and moves constantly. The JK7® Eye Cream combines herbal proteins, vitamins and botanical extracts to support the area. Independent testing at Flinders University on JK7® formulas recorded a 96% increase in collagen production over eight weeks.

Use the Eye Gel and Eye Cream twice daily, morning and evening. The Lip Balm can be applied whenever lips feel tight, and a heavier layer before bed gives it the full night to work. Consistency matters more than quantity: the eye area needs about a grain of rice per eye.

Around four to six months with twice-daily use. The eye area needs a very small amount per application, so a 15 ml jar goes considerably further than the size suggests. Store it closed and away from direct heat and light.

They are not interchangeable. The Lip Balm is built around waxes and butters that suit a surface with no oil glands but would feel occlusive and heavy around the eye. The Eye Cream is formulated for skin that absorbs, not for a lip surface that is constantly wet and worn away.

Yes. JK7® does not test on animals. The formulas exclude parabens, silicones and synthetic fragrance, and every product is handcrafted in small batches in Hawaii from sustainably sourced botanicals.
